I recently wrote about our South Dakota tour featuring Native American culture. That one leaves next week, but fear not! We have another spectacular offering for you:
Canyon Country & Native American Experience
October 21-27
7 days, 6 nights
Utah, Nevada
The picture above is from Bryce Canyon National Park, the featured destination on Day 2 of your itinerary. According to the National Parks Service website,
Hoodoos – grotesque, eerie and often whimsical…
are on display here, along with ancient trees and scenic views from the rim.
Famous for its unique geology of red rock spires and horseshoe-shaped amphitheaters, Bryce offers the visitor a “Far View” from the eastern edge of the Paunsaugunt Plateau in southern Utah.
Also, according to Wikipedia,
Bryce is distinctive due to its geological structures, called hoodoos, formed from wind, water, and ice erosion of the river and lakebed sedimentary rocks. The red, orange and white colors of the rocks provide spectacular views to visitors.
Truly a place of many marvels! And you will be receiving the grand tour with an experienced guide explaining this amazing park in detail.
Your visit to Bryce Canyon, however, is only part of day two! Other elements of your invigorating yet relaxing adventure are as follows:
- A visit to St. George, Utah
- A visit to Zion National Park
- A motor tour through Grand Staircase
- A visit to Anasazi State Park
- A visit to Capitol Reef National Park
- A visit to Dead Horse Point State Park
- A visit to Arches National Park
- A visit to the Navajo Nation, including a very full experience of Navajo culture
- A tour of Monument Valley with a Navajo guide
- A cruise on Lake Powell
- A tour of Grand Canyon National Park
- A driving tour of Las Vegas and on-your-own time there for fun, shows, and gaming
- Believe it or not, several other fascinating experiences!
My goodness–all that in 7 days! All those breath-taking vistas, all that fresh air to breathe! What will allow you to relax and enjoy all these things, however, is the fact that this is an escorted tour: we pamper you, take care of all the details, and do all the driving for 0% fuss, 100% vacation!
