Our wonderful client Gerry Johnson has traveled with us several times. She took a tour with us in July 2009 that we are offering again next year:

Escorted vacation and guaranteed departure

The photos are by Gerry, and here is what she had to say about her tour:

The itinerary of the Pacific Northwest Coastal Tour was lengthy for the ten days, but it was the best coach ride I’ve ever taken. Because the trip from Seattle to San Francisco presented a great variety of sites, some had to be seen from a distance and at a quick pace. The twenty-two participants never lagged as the driver and guide provided an informative, relaxing, and fun adventure.

Accommodations were first-class with interesting dining possibilities. After the flatlands of Indiana, the mountains are special. With the tree-covered mountains on the left and the Pacific Ocean on the right, pure delight. Approximately one half the mileage was on Rt 101 and I do believe there were, at least, 101 logged memories.

These were the standout sites: Space Needle, Multnomah Falls, Tacoma’s Museum of Glass, Mt. Hood, Portland’s International Rose Test Gardens, Oregon Coast Aquarium, and Golden Gate Bridge. Then there were the experiences: Clam broth on Blake Island, eating at the former Freighthouse, Columbia River Gorge and Bonneville Dam to see the fish ladders, dinner at the Rheinlander German Restaurant, Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area for a fun-filled dune buggy ride, a Rogue River Mail Jet Boat Trip as a myriad of fishermen tried their luck at snaring the salmon as they entered or left the river. Mystery Trees and the gondola ride fulfilled our expectations of redwoods and beyond. A wine tasting adventure at Viansa, a tour of San Francisco’s steep streets and later in the day a famous cable car ride. The farewell dinner at Pier 39 overlooked the harbor – a great farewell.

So, if you have never been to the West Coast, check out the Pacific Coast Tour, offered midsummer. It was the most pleasant, informative, relaxing fun coach ride I’ve ever experienced.

We’d love to have you join us on the upcoming tour, which promises to be just as spectacular. Why not give it a try? We welcome reservations from Indianapolis, where we are based, or from any location in the United States or Canada.
